Hello, and welcome to Esther's Girls Organization! My name is Donna Michelle Stimpson Okaro, and I am the Founder of Esther's Girls Organization. I've had the opportunity to meet, study, and work with many amazing women of all ages and backgrounds. However, one thing puzzled me greatly: Why do so many young women end up with such little self-value and self-worth?
God gave me a vision to create an outreach and engagement program for young girls in an effort to decrease the statistics currently reflecting negatively on our young women. This is a problem that crosses all ethnic, cultural, racial, and class barriers. I am passionate about eliminating and reducing these statistics by providing cultural, educational, and social avenues to reach our community of young girls!
I obtained a Masters degree in Women's Studies from Texas Woman's University in Women's Studies, and Bachelors degree in Business Administration/Sociology from Dallas Baptist University. My first degree was an Associate of Arts with an emphasis in Sociology from Collin College, which has also been my employer for over 24 years. I am a member of Grace Outreach Center. In addition, I have been married for 30 years and have one son. I look forward to serving our community of young girls to help them become self-confident, courageous women!
